Holiday Decorating for Clients

I love this season, I get to check in with my old clients and decorate the houses I have designed with/for them. We have some wonderful projects that we are breaking ground on in January so we are enjoying this peace!

Here are some of the decorations we have done for clients this year. All the photos below were taken by my right & sometimes left hand gal Anne Sowles.

I hope you are all enjoying this festive season. I am so looking forward to celebrating this year with my family. Two of my siblings and their families are coming to Maine from California! I cannot wait to see them.

Happy Christmas and Best to you and your family in 2015.

Dining Room Holiday Decor

PHOTOS: Liz Donnelly

My dining room is our formal entertaining space. The rest of our house is open concept but the dining room is closed off by French doors. It allows me to have my own decorating playroom. I have my great grandparents dining table that seats 12, in its heyday it sat 16 (but people were smaller then). I have a fireplace that was faux painted to look like wood inlay, and lots of sideboards to fill with decorations.

This year my dining room theme is silver and white. I want to use as much of my silver as possible.

For my mantel I have used silver glitter lit branches*, mini candle chandeliers*, white bottle brush trees with silver balls*, silver trees*, silver birch vases*, vintage style silver decorations*, little birds*, and silver NOEL* stocking hangers.

On the buffet I added greens*, silver ornaments*, crackers* and polished up the silver for a simple yet pretty look.

The  dining table is my favorite. In my vintage looking cages* I have faux flicker candles* and greens, I love the snow flakes* I have hanging in the windows and between the cages, I have 3 simple silver hurricanes*, 4 mini rose arrangements, silver votives*, and my collection of mini silver boxes and figures.
